Benchmarks

General description

For the Leistungsbeschreibung of the Morgane cluster in 2006, we compiled a statically linked benchmark program which can be found here (clusterbenchmark.tar.bz2).

How to run

To run the benchmark, simply place the tarball somewhere where is enough space (2 GB per core should be morethan sufficient), extract it and the bash skript run.sh.

After running the tool a final tarball called allresults.tar.bz2 is created which contains all relevant information.

To Do

Benchmark crashes on supernode01 right now, cause seems to be an illegal write on stack which I have not yet found to cure and grsec terminates the job immediately.

allresults.tar.bz2 can be automatically analysed and results converted to pdf file by using a perl script and latex. Would be nice to put this into a webinterface where the file can simply be uploaded.
