Atlas Condor Setup

This page tries to describe the setup of Condor within the Atlas cluster. Chances are that this page will be quite outdated from time to time, please remind us to update it accordingly!

Submit machines

You can submit jobs from any of the following nodes - most of which are directly accessible from anywhere. Nodes only accessible internally are marked with the "domain" .atlas.local:

  • atlas1.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de
  • atlas2.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de
  • atlas3.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de
  • atlas4.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de
  • titan1.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de
  • titan2.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de
  • titan3.atlas.local
  • condordev.atlas.local - attention: the active condor configuration here is very likely a development version!

On these nodes you should be able to find all condor related binaries and a souceable file to set-up condor for you under /opt/condor. Usually, the set-up is made automatically for you.

Compute/Execute nodes

Atlas' execute nodes are named n0001 to n1675, gpu001 to gpu066 and the above mentioned titanX machines also serve partially as execute nodes. Most settings are the same, but we have a couple of specialties discussed below:

n0001..n1499
