The script is currently only placed on atlas1.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de
The script has to be started with the path information.
- place a file or a directory tree at /local/clone/user/user where user is the user name on ATLAS. Currenlty, you might have to ask the admins to create the directory.
- execute /usr/local/bin/masscp
- on each node in the cluster your file or directory tree appears in /local/user/user
The background program used in the script and started on each node is called nettee
It the first step the script checks whether another user is running the script.
If this is the case the script stops since only one user at a time is able to use
the nettee chain.
A script is started in a screen session. You might want to follow the output
by calling screen -r
. With CTRL-a d
you leave the screen session.
Be caution: by killing the screen session or stopping the script inside there you might
mess up the nettee chain and some action is required by the admis.
