How to configure a replaced disk?

Sometimes after replacing a disk the disk is in the following state: sata2/4                        unknown      connected    unconfigured unknown

Especially bad, that the second row tells us unknown, i.e. the disk was not detected as a disk. To cure that situation do these steps:

export DISK=sata2/4
cfgadm -c disconnect $DISK
cfgadm -c connect $DISK
cfgadm -c configure $DISK
unset $DISK
